don't forget!

"Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is withing me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases,
Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
Psalms 103:1-5

freedom in God's will

"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."  Isaiah 40:31

No matter how many times I read this verse I always end up awestruck.  The familiar truth just hits home every single time.

Whenever I begin to get impatient or frustrated, and wonder why things aren't going the way I had planned, it's like shaking my fist at God and saying,  "I don't want Your will for me, God!"  How it must sadden the Lord to see people so shallow minded that they can only think of what feels 'best for me right now', instead of deeply understanding and embracing the beauty of God's all-encompassing will, which extends so far beyond us and our temporal circumstances.

Why waste my time and joy complaining about something I don't have, instead of rejoicing in what God has given me, and searching eagerly for ways that my awesome God might use me to accomplish HIS will?

There is such freedom and joy  in letting go of my will and my plans and giving into a God whose will and plans are far greater than mine.  He wants to accomplish His purposes in me but how can He if I don't allow Him to take charge of my life, and to change and remake me into what He knows would be far better in the bigger picture?

true beauty is Christ's beauty in you

"If a soul has any beauty, it is because Christ has endowed that soul with His own, for in ourselves we are deformed and defiled!  There is no beauty in any of us but what our Lord has worked in us."
-Charles Spurgeon

letting go

"It is a tremendous freedom to get rid of all self-consideration and learn to care only about one thing-- the relationship between Christ and ourselves."
-Oswald Chambers

Audio Adrenaline "Kings & Queens" Lyric and Photo Video

This song and this message have set my heart on fire!  (I just get lost when I see those beautiful, love-hungry, and innocent little faces!)  Even though you may not be able to go on a missions trip and help them in person, you can do something equally powerful:  PRAY for them!  Pray that they will be brought relief and shown that Jesus loves them!  They are His treasures!
